- Connect a Library: On first launch, choose a folder on your Mac.
- Discover: Activate the app to see a random photo.
- Search: Click the photo to open.

- Q: Does Serendipix replace Apple Photos? A: No. Serendipix is a companion app that works with your existing Apple Photos library or folders, providing a new way to browse and enjoy them.
- Q: Does the app upload my photos to a server? A: No. All AI processing and analysis happens on your device. Your photos never leave your Mac.
- Q: What file formats does it support? A: Serendipix supports all standard formats recognized by macOS, including JPEG, HEIC, PNG, and most RAW formats supported by Apple.
- Q: Can I edit or delete photos from my library? A: The One-Click Enhance is a non-destructive preview. Serendipix does not currently modify or delete your original files to ensure your library remains safe.
🧰 Troubleshooting
- The app is running slow on first launch? When you first connect a large library, Serendipix performs an initial on-device scan. Please allow it some time to complete. Performance will be much faster on subsequent launches.
- Some photos aren’t appearing? Ensure Serendipix has been granted permission to access your Photos library or folder in
System Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
